2017 Ford Escape Charms KBB.com Critics

Has the compact crossover class been calling your name? Well, if so, we here at Liccardi Ford Inc. think you'll find a whole heck of a lot to like about ours, the 2017 Ford Escape.

"Such as what?" you wonder.

Get the inside scoop from Kelley Blue Book Senior Associate Video Editor Zach Vlasuk. His assessment of the Escape is as follows:

There's no doubt a little something for everyone within the Escape's engine catalog.

The base S model, for instance, is outfitted with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that's rated at 168 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque.

Those who upgrade to the mid-level SE trim will enjoy a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, instead. Producing a peppy 179 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque, this powertrain promises to be one of the Escape's most popular.

Lastly, there's the 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder. Available as an option on the SE, this four-banger boasts a burly 245 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque.
